Inaugural ERS Conference 2015
ERS held its inaugural conference on October 30, 2015 at Baruch College in New York City. The conference theme was ‘Entrepreneurship Research Revisited.’ Participants flew in from all around the world to join us, visiting from Canada, France, Israel, Italy, Sweden, as well as other cities in the US. Keynote speaker Ted Baker, Professor and George F. Farris Chair in Entrepreneurship from Rutgers University gave a rousing talk on the importance of entrepreneurship research at higher education institutions.
The ERS invites cutting-edge research paper submissions for consideration for the Ronald H. Coase Best Paper Award to be given at the conference and for inclusion in our subsequent Entrepreneurship Research Journal Special Issue. The A. Schumpeter Distinguished Scholar Award will be made annually to the entrepreneurship researcher who has had the greatest impact on the field, as determined by the ERS Board of Directors upon the recommendation of its designated nominating committee. The Schumpeter Award recipient will receive a $1,000 prize, a framed certificate, lifetime ERS membership and will be invited to make a luncheon keynote presentation at the 2015 Inaugural ERS Research Conference.
