In light of recent criticism, companies are trying to “go green” by switching the fuel their trucks and buses use from diesel to natural gas. Although this seems like a good idea in theory, some environmentalists are realizing that while diesel emits a large amount of carbon dioxide, natural gas emits a larger amount of methane which is thought to be more harmful to the environment. Regardless, scientists and companies alike are trying to find a solution to cut costs as well as reduce their carbon footprint.
