This piece of art was created by Red Grooms in 2002. I found it in the Newman vertical building. Although the building is full of precious pieces of art I chose this one because the amount of characters and their different aspects caught my attention. This piece of art reminds me of how museums look during their peak hour, specially in New York City. I think the author’s target audience are New Yorkers because the image depicts them carefully. Their different styles, interests, and personalities. The purpose of this piece is to show diversity within the same place. Although the place represented in the picture is a museum, I think it represents NYC because it is a place full of diversity and where we all enjoy and learn from other cultures.

In my opinion this image can be read in logos since the structure of this one makes us think about what was going through the author’s mind while painting it and what were his reasons. This piece makes me feel at home since it reminds me of the city I grew up in. I adored the thoughtfulness of the author when painting each character because he depicted their different personalities really well. By that he made it easier for the audience to understand and appreciate his art more.
