The 9/11 museum is probably the memorial that I remember most because it was during a school trip in 5th grade. I recall the day when I was just messing around and didn’t think much of it, ignored the context behind and was more amazed at how big it was and the name engravings it had which I thought was cool. It wasn’t until I was 15 that I visited the memorial again, this time knowing what I was looking at and the context behind it. It was still impressive how large it was but also sad how much damage we as humans can inflict on others. I believe this memorial, aside from remembering those who lost their lives, is also a reminder of how important human life is and that we should never inflict damage on it. Looking at the many names sets the mood for how people should address this memorial. Overall, the qualities that this memorial has are great, the size, name engravings, water, and flowers capture and portray the message it’s trying to deliver.
