I want to build a printer that can break down fabrics and make clothes with the broken down materials. I notice that the current 3D printers can only create plastic fashion wear. Additionally, according to the reviews, people said the plastic clothes are not comfortable to wear.
The machine that I want to make it is not only going to make long lasting, comfortable clothes it can also break down fabric materials and recycle them. When people do not like the cloth or the cloth is out of the style they can also put it in the printer and let it break it down into printing materials. They will be separate into different colors of small containers by colors and by textures inside the printer. They are like cartridges in printers. Users can keep them in any places they want for future uses. People can buy the design from different websites or make their own design by using 3D software. It will eliminate so much waste on earth.
I really like this idea because I do not like to create wastes to the environment. I also do not like to throw out my clothes. I always try to think up a way to reuse them before I give my clothes to charity or throw them in clothes recycle bins.
After the printer comes out, there will be a lot clothing business go out of business because of this product.  Then design careers will become more popular. They might need to consider of change their company direction to selling fabrics or fabric printing materials or the cloth printers.
There are always pros and cons of releasing new products to the market. We will have to see if the people can accept the changes and will people be able to afford to buy the product. There still a lot of different things I need to research on.
