Read more "Step 4 and 5: Pictures and additional materials for PPT"I choose to use PPT and make table to compare the differences between 3D printed Prosthetic Arm and Traditional Prosthetic Arm. I can’t find the weight lifting information about 3D printed Arm, so I may get rid of this part.

Before I went, I thought it would be like a techy fair, where people made high tech stuffs. However, when I got in, I saw all the beautiful handcraft thing people, brilliant design ideas of jewelry, painting, clothing, gardening and other amazing stuffs
One of my favorites was the ceramic jewelry made by Mier Lou. She is a artist and designer, currently running her own website and business. Beside ceramic jewelry design, she also does graphic design. I lost my pictures for her pieces somehow, so the picture below is from her website, the same things she showed on Maker Fair.
This is her business card and contact information.
My second favorite was OpenBCI
The guy in the picture named Cornor, he showed us how the machine he wear tract the muscles activities in the head to control the robot arm. They using this piece made with 3D printing and arduino tracts the electrical signal of human brain. Understand how they function and how we can use them can build real human brain computer.
The third one was from 3D Printed Habitat Challenge by team LAVAHIVE.
This piece interested me because it made me realize that we can do so many things with 3D printing. Those 3D printing gives a clear view of what can we expect from the real Habitat.
Three lessons I learned from maker fair
This real world assignment helped me to see the real things and changes in our life with 3D printing. Going out to see thing and back to class to get out hands dirty with 3D designing motivate me. Reading chapters are boring, but when I see the 3D printing masterpiece in maker fair, what I were reading from the textbook were connected and linked. It gave me a deep understanding the concept of 3D printing and design thinking.

The first studio assignment was to design a block, and upload to Sketch warehouse. The first picture was my block; the process to design it was straightforward. The multiple-block gave me a hard time to compose all the part together, I had to use the view tools moving the things around all the time, in order to make sure parts locate in correct ways. The rotation tool gave me a hard time, too. I couldn’t get things right in the firs couple of times.
The suggestions, I have for people who just starting, is to move things around when you are designing. If you only watch from one view all the time, you may find that you mass up the full design at the every end. Keep in mind, when you use the rotation tool, think what way you want it to be before you rotate.
