ADJUNCT COMMUNITY OF SCHOLARS: PEDAGOGY
The first of our spring Community of Scholars meetings focused on the general theme of pedagogy will tackle the topics of designing a Syllabus and Establishing Policy and Procedures. We hope that experienced adjunct faculty members will bring their syllabi and be willing to share their Baruch classroom expertise with new adjuncts contemplating their first classes in the following week. See Fundamentals of Syllabus Design and
Establishing Policies and Procedures on the Bernard Schwartz Communications Institute website and Syllabus Items from the Faculty Handbook.
Feel free to bring a brown bag lunch.

NEW TO TEACHING?
Are you new to Baruch? Teaching for the first time? Unsure about what kind of first impression you want to make on your class? Do you have questions about creating your syllabus? Come and join us at the Center for Teaching and Learning in an informal discussion of these and other teaching issues pertinent to the beginning of the new spring semester. Feel free to bring your syllabus, introductory assignments and other materials. This is an excellent opportunity to meet other adjunct faculty and to learn about resources available to you as a faculty member.
