REMINDER: Videographer Ed Kashi at Baruch on Wednesday

Invitation from the department:

We are pleased to announce that the internationally acclaimed photojournalist and filmmaker Ed Kashi will be visiting on Wed, Feb. 26, and you are all invited. The venue is Studio H (7-160), from 12:30-2 p.m. Ed will show and discuss some of his work and take questions (and he’s always open to a wide range of questions, from technical matters to his approach to covering sensitive and critical global issues).  You can see some of his work at www.edkashi.com. Prof. Fran Antmann will host this visit, and we hope you can join us.

Challenge: Look for stories where you live

Here is an interesting video report from Brooklyn by my friends, Reem and Stephen. I’m hoping to get Reem into the classroom this semester to work with you on your edits. VIDEO

Extra Lab Time Week of Feb. 24

Some of you need extra time for editing so I am proposing two lab sessions this week outside of class.

1. WEDNESDAY, FEB. 26 — 5:30-7pm

2. THURSDAY, FEB. 27 — 12:30-2pm

Please let me know if you will make either of these sessions.

Challenge: Look for the human angle
