I took Prof. Eversley’s class because my friends Angel and Adrian recommended her to me. They took her class in the fall semester and told me she was simple great. They said she was a little out there but in a good way of course. I read her reviews on ratemyprofessor.com and then made up my mind to take her spring semester class. It was a good choice! I have to say Prof. Eversley is definitely who I expected her to be. She is intelligent, funny, and unique. She kind of reminds me of Molly in some ways, she says what’s on her mind without worrying what people will think.

We had a great list of books this semester! My favorite turned out to be Rubyfruit Jungle. I had already read Their Eyes Were Watching God and The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao, but I enjoyed reading them again. The class was structured really well and that’s one of the reasons why I enjoyed it so much. The online blog was really cool because it allowed everyone to make comments and share their opinions about books and other topics online if they didn’t talk much in class (which I know I didn’t, but the blog allowed me to share my thoughts nonetheless). The podcast assignment was also a great idea. It allowed us to be creative and spontaneous. Creating our own paper topics was also impressive; it encouraged us as intellectuals to think outside the box and that’s exactly what an English class should encourage students to do. Overall this was a very productive course and I have learned some helpful tips on how to improve my writing skills. Thanks Prof. Eversley!

I hope everyone has an amazing summer! Good luck! :]
