The sound of a horn, and with that the ceremony began.  The followers all began to kneel and pray and shortly after the alter opened up revealing a statue of Krishna and then the followers all got up and the chanting began from all the followers and in the middle of the floor the followers that were there were reciting the chant and dancing as well as playing instruments there was also another follower up on the alter with incense.  The chanting went on for about 20 minutes as it was winding down and the follower on the alter handed a fire lit lamp one of the followers took it around the room and to my surprise he came up to me as well I put my hands over it and put it to my face, after he put down the flame he came around again and sprinkled water to everyone around the room including me and lastly he went around the room with a flower and held it up to everybody’s noses.  With that the sound of anther horn came around and the followers knelled and prayed again and the ceremony came to an end shortly after.

My first visit to the temple at Schermerhorn street the person I spoke with was the spiritual grandson of the founder,  he was very enthusiastic about his beliefs and I was able to find out some history and was able to take a pic of their daily schedule.   They have been practicing at Schermerhorn Street location since 1985 since.  Their administrative structure is a president, a vice president, a board of directors and devotees or volunteers.
