I am an over-thinker. I over analyze every detail and spend too much time stressing about what appear to be insignificant things. I am a perfectionist and I am afraid of failure. However over-analyzing and wanting things to be just right is both a blessing and a curse, too say the least it is complex and that is what I want my work to show.
I love working with many images, layers, and effects. Pairing different colors and textures to create a unique image that will make one pause and reflect on both the beauty of all the elements and as to what it all means together. I want my work to reflect complexity and that nothing is just black and white but instead that there are many points of views and ways of thinking about the image in question and not just the artwork but life itself.
I like to use layers and alter my images by playing around with contrast and different elements. While I use many effects my goal for my art is to look like it has a beautiful flow and that all the pieces are meant to be there and not haphazardly placed. I love the idea of portraying movement and texture on a 2 dimensional surface as well as playing around with different filters to symbolize all the steps and little details that go into the things we do.
Even though I use multiple effects and colors I hope all the elements of my work look as if they belong and portray the craziness yet beauty of our lives.
