There are two wedding flash banners that I think one working extremely well and the other one still need work in progress. The one that work successfully is Disney Weddings because this banner contains many elements for wedding couples to plan their wedding with different categories listed one side. The other side shows a flash movie with background music, and text were included to introduce how Disney is going to help the couple to plan there wedding day. In which, I feel Disney has a very strong concept to promote their wedding planning. Meanwhile, the banner in Your Wedding Day Online can be work on a little more because I think they can add a background music with an on and off button. At the same time, I think this magazine company should include a little message or a catch line in the other side of the logo. This way, people will know a bit more of what this banner is advertising. Most of all, a successful banner should be eye catching and state its purpose out just like Disney Weddings because this is the first thing people see when they visit your website.

I agree that the “Disney Weddings” website is more classy and fits the theme of wedding than the “Your Wedding Day Online” website. Disney does a better job of selling their products and services because they give a preview with pictures of what they have to offer from planning the ceremony to the honeymoon. The background music is an added bonus along with the text that fits well with the pictures. On the other hand, while the Wedding Day Online website does have nice background designs and pictures, they should have done something like Disney did by giving each categorical tab different pictures. I clicked on Groom and the same banner came on. I know that a wedding is mostly revolved around the bride but the groom at least deserves his own banner.
I also think that the Disney banner looks really good and is more effective in terms of attracting customers. It doesn’t have a lot of effects or animations added but the simple appearance and easy navigation buttons on the menu made the banner even more appealing. I think the colors they used on the website was very consistent and the picture were also well taken and positioned. Your Wedding Day Online’s banner doesn’t provide as much information but it still looks like it fits on the website with its purplish color selection and images of happy brides.
I think the Disney banner is a really good example of a good banner. As an audience, I think the light blue color is an excellent pick for a wedding banner because it gives me a very comfortable feeling about the advertisment. This banner give you a feeling of elegancy instead of ad that is hard selling you a product. I think the other website is not that bad overall, but the thing that makes it less effective in terms of selling is that its too common. After looking at that banner, I don’t remember it after awhile. If a banner doesn’t leave an image on the customer, I don’t think its a good banner.
