Project proposal

For my project I would like to do a online portfolio website. I am considering mixing flash with html but I am still exploring my options.

I will be using Flash, Indesign, Illustrator, and perhaps Dreamweaver. I will be redesigning my resume, and re designing the flash slideshow we did last time. I will also design a business card, and a logo to go with the site.

The page will be basic and have a bio, slideshow, contact info, and i guess quotes? Not sure its new to me so i will have to see some examples online…

Final Project

For the final project I will be creating something that is similar to a website that introduces different varieties of cakes and desserts. To show examples of the cakes and desserts I will be drawing them with the Adobe CS4 program. Viewers will be able to click into the different cakes and desserts with buttons that I will be creating and they will be able to read a description of the cake or dessert. A few words that popped out of my mind to describe what my final project will look like are: rich, velvety, dark, and luxurious. I will be using colors that are of darker shades. For the background I will be using a dark brown or charcoal color throughout. When drawing the cakes and desserts I will be using a thicker black outline, since the style I am going for is more flat and not really three dimensional. A few of these flat images will include cakes, cupcakes, cake slices, and I think I will be including drinks as well, such as hot chocolate and different types of coffee drinks. For the drinks I will be drawing them the same way as the cakes and the drinks will be in big round coffee cups. The fonts that I will be using will be Script and probably Times New Roman. I will be using Script to design the title and Times New Roman will be used for the descriptions of the cakes, desserts, and drinks. This project concept is not meant to sell the cakes and desserts but it is something I thought would be interesting to do and also because I have a great interest in baking and eating delicious baked goods.

Final project

For my final project I’ve decided to keep going with space theme that I’ve been doing so far. This time it’s going to be based on a dream that I had when I was a child. In this dream I was saw two comets headed for earth. In response missiles are launched in an effort to destroy the comets however only one is destroyed and the other keeps going. In the end the comet strikes South America and the whole continent gets obliterated. In this project I’ll try to separate the dream into several different scenes that are linked together via buttons. My intended audience is everyone in general. Hopefully this’ll work out well.

Rita’s final project proposal

For my final project, I plan to do a short animation on the rock character I created from my previous class’s final project. I will be drawing out different scenes as backgrounds. In the beginning, the character will be lost in a white space. He will then move on to different places and began the journey to find its way home. Along the way he will meet two other rock characters and they will join him on his journey to go home. I will include scenes from different seasons and maybe I’ll do a short maze thing in the middle so viewers can interact and click on which path they should take. In the very end, the three characters will successfully find their way home. It will be a place where all the other rocks live in. They will have some celebration and that will be the end of the story. The whole animation/story will probably be about 2 minutes. I will try to make the animation fun and interesting to watch.

final project proposal

For my final project, I want to use four emotions, sad, happy, angry and surprised to tell four short stories of each. This topic came was the first one that came to my head when I was thinking about this topic so I decided to use this topic as my final project. I feel that everyone will encounter these emotions at least once in their lifetime so I hope the viewers will share the same common feelings when they see this project. For this project, I’m planning to use pictures and a few animations to show the stories. With each of these emotions, the background will have a different color to represents the different feelings. For example, the sad story will have a black or grayish background while the happy story might have a bright background like yellow or green. The beginning scene will have four buttons for the viewers to click that can take them to each individual story. When the viewers get to story, there will be a play button and then the story will begin.

Final Project

For my final project I will be making a slideshow on the Seven Deadly Sins. I have chosen this topic because this is what I had originally planned to do for Project 3 but since 10 pictures were required I went with the ceramic sculptures. This slideshow is intended for those who are interested in this topic. I am excited to start working on this project because I have already made a plan on the design and other aspects of the slideshow more than I had thought about the ceramic sculptures. Since the class has already presented their slideshow projects, I see now what works and what wouldn’t. The background for my project will be black and probably have some small animation. The pictures will stand out and be the focus point of the screen. I am planning on using scroll boxes with information on each sin but this will depend on how much information I find. There will also be a link to a site so the viewer can find out their most prominent sin.

Valeria’s Final Project Proposal

For my final project, I would like to create a short animation (approximately 45 seconds to one minute) about a cute cat that encounters some gangster cats in a dark alley.  At first, the cat will look scared, but then it will gain courage as the scene progresses.  I found a song called “March of Ghosts” from a Rurouni Kenshin soundtrack that would go well with this animation.  I will attempt to match the motions with the music.  The animation will consist mainly of dark colors.  I will have either few or no interactive buttons on it.
My intended audience is for children older than 8 but I think adults would enjoy it too.  I promise that there will be no blood or very graphic violence.  My purpose is to make my animation humorous, not violent.  Like Nastahia, I grew up watching cartoons and some anime so I would like to create an animation.  My project will not be anime style.  It will be simple and 2 dimensional.

Final Project Proposal

For my final project I want to do something that I have been putting off for a long time now. I want to create my online portfolio. It will be situated online (bianca-deleon.com has already been purchased and ready for something to go on it!) with working pages displaying some of the work I have created over the years in terms of graphics as well as photography.

Right now, I have two strategies in approaching this project:

1. This strategy is to make the site look like either a desk or corkboard. You will be able to navigate through the site by hovering over highlighted icons. There will be no set color scheme to make the desk or corkboard look more realistic. Think www.jkrowling.com but a bit more simple!

2. My second strategy is make it look more like a website rather than something realistic like a corkboard or desk. Slightly more abstract, I guess would be a better term. For this one, I would use this type of color scheme:

Photobucket

I think they’re fun and vibrant which corresponds to my personality. In terms of a background image, I might use one of my own (or a stock image if I find it fits better) of something scenic.

Whichever strategy I decide to go with permanently, I will have pages such as an About me, a page to view/download my resume, and of course my portfolio page.

Nastahia’s final project proposal.

Since I was young I was always entralled by cartoons. Saturday mornings were a treat for me as I would look foward to the “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” and “The Smurfs” and all the other fantastic cartoons that I used to and still love. Then as I got older I was introduced to “Samurai X” also known as “Rurouni Kenshin” which opened my eyes to a whole new style and I fell in love with it. Since then I have wanted to write and animate my own ideas and characters and for my final project I will be attempting to do so!

Here is an example of something that is similar to what I want my cartoon to look like

Final Project Proposal

For my final project I decided to recreate an old favorite game. I still didn’t decide if it will be brick breaker, Tetris, or chicken and eggs. These three games are my favorite games to play on the cell phone or online when I’m bored. I want to design the chosen game to fit all ages. These three games are old time favorite whether you are a kid or an adult. I like the old simple look of these games. I’m still thinking of a way to keep the old look but to give it a bit of a more modern design. Whichever game I will decide to do I will use dynamic text for scores and levels. Since it’s the first time programming a game I will keep it within one scene and to indicate different levels I will either use a faster speed or more elements added (ex. If it is brick breaker – more bricks, if it is Tetris – faster speed). I’m working on different sketches for these three different games. I didn’t choose a sketch yet because I’m still trying different layouts.

Tiff’s Final Project Proposal

It’s nearing the end of the semester now, and I’m almost graduating.  Twenty-two years down the road, I have finally realized that my life has changed drastically. I’m not who I used to be, and I doubt I’ll go back to whoever I was back then. However, it’s always good to go down memory lane once in a while and laugh at the fool I used to be. For the final project, I would like to make a slideshow that will tell a story of my life. I am not sure how exactly will the slideshow look, but the audiences should be able to tell a story from looking at it. This is more of an inspirational and emotional slideshow, as opposed to the food slideshow I made for the previous project, which was more geared towards introducing a specific topic to the audience. It was more of my “interest” and did not mean anything. The final project will mean something, and it is for the audience to find out. It will contain several button, scenes, animation, text, photos, pictures, etc.
