- This archaeological site is rated among the most important of the Maya culture and covers an area of approximately six square miles where hundreds of buildings once stood.
- It is one of the earliest resorts in Mexico, offering a place of worship and solitude for the Mayan Kings, clergy and Gods in early times.
- It is appropriate to emphasize the importance of the beach area, where it is certain that the Mayan ships, dedicated to trade around the peninsula, would have docked.
- Parts of Tulum is used as a beach where the water is essential in everyday life.
- An amazingly beautiful, natural aquarium of the Mayan Riviera. Xel-Ha has a system of caverns, coves and lagoons that are home to hundreds of marine species.
Santa Con
Santa Con
I had the pleasure of attending Comic Con this year which I enjoyed a great deal. Little did I know that on Saturday, December 11th, I had the pleasure of attending the Santa Con held in Central Park.
I stumbled upon this gathering as a result of shooting pictures earlier that morning for my intermediate photography class. I was surprised at the amount of people dressed in Santa costumes but being that this is New York, I thought little of it at first, but as more and more Santas appeared, I got curious and went to take a look. As I reached the Bethesda Fountain, I could hear exuberant cheers and noticed that Santas were everywhere! I spoke to someone who was able to provide me more detail about this event. Basically, it is one big party where everyone comes dressed as Santas, reindeers, elves, etc bringing with them gifts, games and fun. It looked like everyone was having a good time and I am certain there will be a few sore heads the next day.

Black Friday Crowds near Herald Square
I went to shopping on Black Friday to get a deal on the items that I want but there are so many people shopping on that day and so chaotic. So I thought it might be interesting to see the chaotic side of Black Friday. There is one thing that I want to show in this assignment is that only a few items that does not sold out are the one on sale. I have put one of the photo with CK clothes that are 50% off but no one is buying it. First, I thought it was a good deal but when I check the price tag, it was over price. This is another thing that sellers did on Black Friday. They put the price so high and put this percent off and some people thought it was a great deal. As all of you can see that not a lot of people are holding shopping bag, this indicated that the sale for this Black Friday did not go well.

Glancing toward the Ceiling
I have always sat in the student lounge on the third floor and admired this small section of Baruch’s architecture. I have never seen such a beautiful campus. When I had come to my first Baruch open house five years ago it was the architecture that had me in awe. If there is one thing I will miss when I graduate it will definitely be the ambiguous, yet astonishing architecture. Sometimes I would have bad days and I would look at the all the geometric shapes and metal hardware to find serenity. Usually I would seek solace from nature if I were feeling indifferent, but there’s no green refuge on the urban streets of New York City.
Halloween on Lexington
Walking around Lexington on Friday, October 29, I found a small childrens parade going on from one of the local schools. Children were dressed in vivid costumes and looking like they were having a blast.
NYC MARATHON – 90th St and 1st Ave
Watching the NYC Marathon for a couple of hours was really interesting. It was obvious that all of the runners put a lot of effort into the marathon and were very motivated to finish. As for the fans, the same was shown from them. There was a lot of cheering and fans supporting the runners, even if they didn’t know someone who was running in the marathon. Those who knew someone made signs, and had flags. There was a variety of people watching, including people from Japan and France who proudly showed their pride. The same with the runners, a few to mention who wore shirts from their homeland were France, Australia, Italy and of course USA. It was amazing to see the whole world come together for such an exciting event.
