My name is Arturo Lopez and I am a senior undergraduate student at Baruch College working towards my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. My first opportunity in pursuing my broad interest in the psychology field occurred during my sophomore year as I became a lead research assistant for an I/O psychological study at Baruch College for a year. During this time, my experience in the mental health industry began when I worked as a resident advisor at two dual diagnostic transitionary sober living facilities, until becoming the shift manager for Transcend Recovery. I plan to broaden my experience by learning the different avenues I can take to help people achieve their potential, such as getting a Masters in Social Work, running a sober living facility, etc.
