Martin I. Bresler has assumed the chair of Americans for Peace Now, the American Zionist organization dedicated to a just and secure resolution of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict through a two-state solution. Howard (Greenberg) Greene is president of Greene Inc., a public relations agency celebrating its 45th anniversary. Jacqueline (Wolfe) Lederman and Martin Lederman recently donated a new Torah to their Chabad Center in Parkland, Florida. The Ledermans, donors and volunteers for organizations including Jewish Adoption & Foster Care Options (JAFCO), Hadassah, and the Friendship Circle, are also GALs (Guardian Ad Litem), child advocates in the Broward Court System. Their grandson, Evan Goldberg (’10), recently graduated from Baruch College with an MA degree in corporate communications.

Ruth and Sam Perelson

Justice Nicholas Figueroa retired at the end of last year after a 30-year career on the bench in Bronx criminal and New York County civil courts. In May the Baruch community celebrated the dedication of the Ruth (’58) and Sam Perelson Hillel Suite. Ruth is a board member of Hillel at Baruch; her work with the organization inspired the couple’s Class Act gift. Stan Ross (LLD ’99) has co-written Careers in Accountancy (with James Carberry), recently published by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). The book includes short essays by several members of Baruch College’s Stan Ross Department of Accountancy, named after the book’s author and its benefactor.

Journalist and author Florence Satow Isaacs has published her 10th book, The 24/7 Baby Doctor: a Harvard Pediatrician Answers All Your Questions from Birth to One Year (Grove Pequot). Isaacs, who got her start as a reporter for The Ticker, co-authored with Victoria Rogers McEvoy, MD.
