The Border Interrupted

Politics and the Pandemic Scramble Life Along El Paso-Juarez Divide

A REMOTE REPORTING PROJECT

A reporting trip to the Southwest was intended to examine how issues affecting the U.S.-Mexico border would play out during the 2020 elections. When the trip was canceled because of the pandemic, journalism students from CUNY’s Baruch College did their reporting with sources in the El Paso area using video conferencing, phones and email.
