Forthcoming, January 2026. The Moys of New York and Shanghai: One Family’s Extraordinary Journey Through War and Revolution (University of California Press) follows six Chinese American siblings and their spouses from the turn of the twentieth century through the early Cold War years.

I’m currently doing research for another book, Selling America in China, which looks at the promoters, diplomats, and small businesspeople who sold American products and ideas in and to republican China.
