This paper, which I wrote for ENG 2150T at Baruch College, discusses the Covid-19 has affected Myanmar workers in different rural areas and American workers are severely unemployed and unable to survive. Thousands of Burmese workers in Thailand suddenly lost their jobs and rushed to leave. They had to desperately ask for help on social media. In the United States, 39% of former workers in households earning $40,000 or less are unemployed, widened the gap between rich and poor. Some people are displaced because they cannot pay their rent, and Mr. Loaiza is one example. Fortunately, he got help from his friends in the end.
