7.COVID-19 Can Somehow Contribute to Developing Better Leaders.

Some might also believe COVID-19 can somehow contribute to developing better leaders. According to Ron Bourque (2020), he believes that leadership effectiveness is ultimately about acquiring new or better skills. Leaders need to learn how to execute more effectively. These skills range from being a better listener and questioner of good questions to the skills to conduct effective meetings. The development of this skill includes becoming a coach and mentor, rather than just relying on answering questions, giving instructions, and being a leader. Some skills enable leaders to move things forward, while some skills enhance performance by motivating relevant people. In other words, Covid-19 helps leaders develop the ability to execute at home and test their ability to execute. Just like teachers taking online classes, they have to get in touch with meeting apps that they have never used before, such as zoom, google classroom, etc. They have to learn how to use these apps, share screens on the apps. Not only the executive ability of leaders, but also the executive ability of students. We also need to learn how to use these apps and hand in homework online. Online classes do not make people concentrate like sitting in a classroom, and it is easy to be distracting. So I think this is also a test of my concentration in online classes.
