Green-Wood Research Fellowship Award in Urban Environmental Science
New York City’s Green-Wood Cemetery is an arboretum with a large collection and variety of organisms. Green-Wood’s living collection plays an important environmental role in combating New York City pollution. Green-Wood awards funding for research projects relating to urban ecology and climate resilience. Project proposals can receive up to $5,000 in funding.
Deadline: January 15th, 2023

NYC H2O Environmental Educator
NYC H2O is looking for full time and part time environmental educators. Environmental educators will guide in-person trips to historic reservoirs, wetland, beaches, and parks across the five borough. Educators guide students from grade 2-12 and host virtual lessons for students. This opportunity is for students with strong interest in NYC history, ecology, and geography.

REU National Weather Center Opportunity
The National Weather Center’s 10-week summer REU program is open to undergraduate students in all majors. Students can research topics such as severe weather, climatological studies, and more. Students will participate in field trips, guided tours, and lecture during the summer program. At the end of the program students will have the opportunity to present their research.
Deadline: February 4th, 2024

Science Undergraduate Laboratory Internships (SULI)
The Department of Energy’s SULI program offer a variety of paid research opportunities for students in interested in science, technology, math, and engineering. There are 17 research sites with options of both summer and semester long internships.
