Ms. Segawa holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture from Tamagawa University. She is a Researcher at Overseas Environmental Cooperation Center (OECC), where she designs and implements capacity building programs for leaders in charge of climate change issues in developing counties. She is also responsible for information dissemination websites related to climate change. As a climate change professional, she attended a Carbon Expo in Spain and has presented Japan’s policies re support of developing countries at the UN Climate Change Conference in Mexico. She has served as a coordinator of a joint workshop on the Enhancement of Environment Management Capacity in Vietnam with the Institute of Science for Environmental Management (ISEM), the Vietnam Environment Administration (VEA), and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MONRE). She has served as Japanese Government Representative at a regional workshop on implementation of UNFCCC Article 6 (Education, Training and Public Awareness) in Indonesia.
