Ms. Maulidia is currently working as an independent consultant with clients from the public sector such as the Ministry of Public Works and National Council on Climate Change to the private sector such as palm oil mill owners. She has been a climate change and clean development mechanism specialist for several years. Ms. Maulidia’s knowledge ranges from climate and renewable energy policy, greenhouse gas emission reduction calculation to carbon trading. In her role as a CDM Expert consulting for Fichtner GmbH & Co.KG Germany, she works on emission reduction in cities and municipal solid waste management. She is also a CDM Consultant for YTL-SV Carbon, where she writes project design documents for various CDM projects: methane avoidance from palm oil waste water treatment and electricity generation from anaerobic digester.  She prepares due diligence for renewable energy projects (small-scale micro hydro and geothermal power plants); and extends business development to potential clients (notably palm oil companies). Ms. Maulidia was also a consultant for PT PEACE Indonesia, a Research Associate for Singapore Institute of International Affairs in Indonesia, a Researcher for Singapore Institute of International Affairs in Singapore, and a Climate Change Researcher/ Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) Specialist for PELANGI. She also volunteers in her local community’s waste management activities and green lifestyle movement. Ms. Maulidia holds a Master’s of Science (MSc.) in Environmental Engineering from Technical University Hamburg in Germany.

Statement of Intent


Ms. Maulidia seeks to gain knowledge, experience, and critical thinking skills from this program for her future policy advisory projects to the government. She will share the knowledge and experiences derived from this program on a community level. She would also like to enhance her skills as a means to help Indonesia adapt to climate change, given the vulnerability of communities living in coastal zones, and to combat the increase in municipal solid waste. She also intends to exchange ideas and solutions with other participants and thereby build an international network from this program.
