Often times people overlook and disregard the importances of public speaking. Public speaking is one of the most critical skills we can learn as an individual and improve along the way. If the speech is delivered correctly to an audience, it can be powerful, compelling and a beautiful piece of art. Those speech are often delivered by the distinguished figures.

As you can see above, this particular picture of Barrack Obama was taken during the 2008 victory speech in Grant Park Chicago, Illinois. The speech President Obama gave that night for me is one of the most memorable, and powerful speeches I’ve ever heard. In front of thousands of Americans in the audience and millions of people watching all over the world from their media outlets. He was able to captivate these people by his public speaking skills. Firstly he demonstrated a perfect posture by standing tall among the people and using hand gestures when needed.  Second the “three C’s” means, concise, confidence, and clear speech. Throughout the speech, his message was concise, clear and he delivered with confidence. Finally, although his speech was scripted without practice he would not be able to deliver the speech well. As a result of a proper amount of practice, the audience and the people all around the world were able to feel the magnitude of the speech. President Obama not only change the history that night but also touched and captivated millions of Americans and non-American hearts and minds everywhere. As we progress in life, I am learning more about the importance of public speaking. From communication class, I m hoping to learn crafts and techniques to overcome the fear of stage. In addition, study and master in becoming a great speaker like President Obama.
