First, I thank our professor who brought the 3D printing demo to our classroom. It was exciting seeing how laying down many layers created a dice in a couple of minutes.

Since, we are living in a technological world, I think the 3D printing demo will be the next big thing of the future. Many people could do their job easily like engineers, constructors and designers . Also, people at their home could fabricate their own stuffs and kids their own toys, which is the part I like. Probably, as a mother I could save some money while my son creates his own toys. However, I wonder how economy will be affected by people creating their own stuffs and kid their own toys rather than buying them from other people or companies.

Since I found difficult to understand ” The Medium is the Massage”, I decided to expand my first blog.  Honestly, I was confused, so I wrote a draft that I submitted to our professor, who said that I was covering a lot of ideas without backing them up. He recommended me to develop one idea as full as possible. So I focused on how electric technology has changed communication and how we become part of this new technological environment. Even though I tried hard to write  the kind of paper he expected, I am not sure if I did.

The author of the book ” The Medium is the Massage” discuss how new communication technologies have changed society. People have more opportunities to express themselves and participate in a new environment, which become the medium to deliver their thoughts and ideas. At the same time, people become aware of what they think and the way they act, because they are not longer alone in this new technological world. On the other hand, even when society can benefit from different ways of communications, it also tend to compromise people’s privacy. I guess people have to determine whether is worth it or not to live in this new technological world.
