Prior to recent legislation in Saudi Arabia domestic violence against women and children was taken to a lesser extent. According to “A New Law to Curb Domestic Abuse” the old code would permit judges to allow the use of force upon individuals to an extent. Luckily the government has chose to step-in and support groups normally afflicted by abuse.
