In this conversation, we will have an open discussion about how to meet the requirements in a way that aligns with your course goals. We welcome your experiences and the strategies you’ve used to make your class sessions more active and student-centered, with or without cameras on.

Misinformation campaigns online have become increasingly savvy at presenting themselves as legitimate and preying up readers’ emotional reactions to sensational material. In this 1-hour workshop, CTL staff members will discuss trends in how students process the news and will look at examples of some common ways that misleading or misinformative sources manifest false impressions of credibility.. Together, we will reflect on some strategies for communicating with students about sources and brainstorm approaches, activities, and tools that might work in fostering information literacy skills across all disciplines.
