A Moroccan man is pictured leaving one of Fez’s traditional mosques following prayer.

“The Soul Of Morocco” provides a vivid account of the cultural Mecca that is Fez, Morocco. Although Seth Sherwood focuses solely on Fez, much of his account of the city’s inner workings and cultural characteristics are found throughout Morocco. From the ancient decor to the clay and brick buildings, much of Moroccan architecture pays homage to the past. The city’s dedication to tradition and Moroccan history is what makes it the heart of culture in Morocco. Traditional cuisines such as tagine are widely popular in Fez as well as the rest of the country. Mr. Sherwood does a tremendous job encapsulating all that is Moroccan culture into words.
