Welcome to my new blog here at CUNY SPS. I do hope my blog will provide for you lots of insights on Social Media Marketing and how to effectively use Social Media as a tool for Crowdsourcing and also how to use different tools to measure and analyze your reach.

Welcome to my world! I am completely fascinated with Social Media and think I spend majority of my time navigating different online platforms. I currently have my own website and domain name that I recently bought through sqaurespace.com. I also have a blog linked to that domain.

My name is Careen Covington and this is my final semester here at SPS. This semester I am doing two courses that I love Business Sustainablity and Social Media. I currently work as a Social Media Handler for the Prime Minister of Jamaica, the Most Honorable Portia Simpson Miller. I update her Facebook and twitter page daily by posting messages, videos, livestream etc. Today hurricane Mathew is slated to hit Jamaica and I woke up and created a meme with her pic and the title, How are things in your area. Within an hour we had over 200 like, 200 comments and a reach of over 11,000. The last time I check there was over 400 like. The page currently has over 37,500 followers.
