As a modern person, I can assert that traditional media is out of date. More and more people are not used to getting knowledge and news from newspapers and television. The technology and channels for people to access the medium are different from the past. People are more likely to choose to get information on the Internet. Facebook, Instagram, the rise of social applications has changed the form of the medium. we will no longer to use our textbook to find answers, the more and more often we will directly use google or online to search the knowledge, which the way easier and faster. Youtube began to replace TV to spread news movies and entertainment.

The benefits of new media are convenience, but at the same time, it is the fastest way to reveal privacy. We can see that more and more Internet companies use people’s privacy to seek benefits. Those companies are starting to pay more and more fines and exposure to more and more illegal operations. For example, recently Facebook has paid 5 billion dollars for their privacy penalty which is the heaviest fine in current medium society.
