Technology is currently the fastest growing industry in United States history.
It has evolved so much that when the current generations parents were in school, there were chalkboards, possibly a typewriter and no such thing as online learning. This has evolved to every high school classroom in America looking to have multiple computers, a smartboard instead of chalkboard, and BlackBoard has taken the reigns on online homework assignments.
However, advancements aren’t being made solely in the sense of traditional education. There is a growing number of websites on the internet that build a community around learning skills online. Just like in Jay Rosen’s article, The People Formerly Known as the Audience, users can take online classes and then help contribute to improving them! This way the users help curate the courses content for the most optimal learning experience, all from the comfort of your home.
