In education, one can easily agree that inorder for students to successfully learn the curriculum, teachers are needed. However, why don’t teachers get respect and have a say? Teachers are being neglected and often times, not able to voice their opinions. As we all know, the government are the ones who decide what students should learn and what thet “think” students ought to learn. However, in my opinion, teachers are the people who know what are student’s weaknesses and strengths are. Therefore, in order to teach students effectively, teacher’s opinions need to be counted for. For example, if a student stumbles on certain material that the government require it’s studets to learn, teachers are the only people who can help the student. Most importantly, unlike the government, teachers observe each student individually. Which means if a teacher continues to see that there are number of students who stumbled on the same topic, the teacher can adjust her schedule ad spend more time in that certain topic. Whereas, the government can’t. Therefore, if teachers were able to voice their opinions, do you think that our education system wpuld of been better?
I think forming the “National Education Association” was a good idea because teachers are not given enough positive attention. We all know that teachers have to work really hard but are not being paid enough for it. teachers often times deal with hundred of students a day, along with correct assignments as well as absenses problems. Yet, instead of appreciating what teachers have to do, government wants to lower their salary and reject teachers opinions. We all know that to protest requires a lot of time and strength. Most importantly, having the thought that Thier jobs might be in jeopardy if they protest will definitely make the whole idea of protesting seem less important. Therefore, forming an association for all the teachers will definitely show a sense of unity. Most importantly, having representatives would allow teachers to strive for more rights to be gained. However, for an organization to work effectively, it requires devotion as well as dedication. Do you think that teachers would continue to fight with the stress from teaching as well as knowing that they might
lose Their job?
