After reading Mcluhan’s “The Medium is the Massage,” it’s interesting how he wrote this. Throughout, the reading I felt so confused, like in the beginning like the page of YOU, the second question, ” Have you contemplated suicide?” was the craziest blow of woah to me and then when he suddenly said ” the older, traditional ideas of private, isolated thoughts and actions…” (6) gave off some type of control over me like old values being overpowered the smaller, like a monarchy. Through the images it is also interesting like seeing the big eye ball. Throughout the vibes were giving like 1984, like big brother having control over people. But it is interesting how there was a lot of words of how technology changes or his words “electric information” and how it may impact someone or something.
