Weekly Writing #12

For my linguistic escape, I have decided to write about the neighborhood in the Bronx. I want to focus on that because I live in the neighborhood. In addition, I am more connected and familiar with that than any other places in the Bronx. I have been living in that neighborhood for about 10 years. In my blog post, I am going to talk about different sections of the neighborhood and what they are known for. For example, one of the sections of my neighborhood is called Crosby. Back in the day, like in the 80s, that area was made up of mostly people who were Italian and Irish. However, now there are different types of ethnicities in the neighborhood. Crosby is known for different varieties of stores, restaurants, and salons. One of the good things about living in that neighborhood is that all the stores are within walking distance. Also, there are always new stores opening up in the area.

This is Zeppieri & Sons. It’s a family-owned Italian Bakery. It has the best Italian pastries, cookies and breads.

This is a restaurant called Georges. It is one of the oldest restaurant in this area.  It’s a great place to go for burgers and fries.
