CITI Instructions

  1. Log into IRBManager at https://cuny.my.irbmanager.com using your CUNYFirst login (e.g., [email protected]). If you have forgotten your CUNYFirst password, you can reset it at the CUNYFirst page. You just need to log in here for now, nothing else to do here until later on in these steps.
  2. Register your CITI account at https://citiprogram.org. IMPORTANT: use your Baruch email address (e.g., [email protected]). Click “Register” at top right and follow instructions.
  3. Enter “City University of New York” and then select the option that populates in “Select Your Organization Affiliation.”
  4. Click “I AGREE” for the terms of service.
  5. After a moment, another checkbox appears about affirming that you are an “affiliate of City University of New York (CUNY)”. Check that.
  6. Click “Create a CITI Program account.”
  7. Enter your personal information (first name, last name, Baruch email address). Your primary email address MUST be your Baruch email address.
  8. You may also be asked for your EMPLID. If you don’t know it, look at your Baruch student ID and find “EMPLID” and enter in the number next to it.
  9. When prompted to select a course to complete, please select “HSR for Undergraduate Students.”
  10. You will then be asked for the curriculum you would like to complete. Choose “Human Subjects Basic Course.”
  11. Then click “Add a Course” and complete the required modules (plan for about 1-2 hours to complete modules).
  12. Email a copy of your completion certificate to Prof. Libertz
