More Mindless but Great Humor
Remi Gaillard. He has some other videos on youtube, but this one is my favorite. His creativity in dressing up like a kangaroo and hopping around causing mayhem makes this video so great. Not many people have the guts or lack the brains to do something like this but Remi pulls it off in hilarious fashion. I think that what makes this video so popular (44 million views) is the shock that it gives people. No one expects a man in a kangaroo suit, especially one who messes with cops, and kicks golfers into lakes. The humor in the video is meaner than the humor that dancing babies have, but it still brings much laughter and many views.

44 million viewers-WOW! I think this video echoes exactly what we discussed last week in class. Who would ever think of dressing up as a kangaroo and doing anything and everything to gain attention? Apparently this guy was very successful in shocking me and giving me a great laugh, and entertaining 44 million viewers as well. I just still can’t fathom the whole idea of videos going viral-how do they start and how do they reach so many viewers?
