For this blog post, I encourage you to articulate some of your preliminary thoughts on how you plan to approach the digital literacy narrative. As part of this prompt, I’ve included a series of guided questions aimed at facilitating your  blueprint for this assignment. You need not answer each and every one of these guided questions, but you should use them as points of departure for crafting your blog posts as well as for outlining your piece.

  • Which digital tools, websites, and/or platforms are you hoping to foreground in your narrative and why?
  • Which sorts of digital literacy skills and practices could you potentially discuss in regard to those digital mediums?
  • How might you draw connections between these digital mediums and their required skills and practices?
  • Which conflicts would you identify as essential to the development of your digital literacy in either of these mediums?
  • How could you experiment with different multimedia formats to effectively illustrate the growth of your digital literacy?
  • In which ways might your digital literacy narrative relate to information and communication technology during the pandemic?
  • How might your understanding of digital rhetoric be relevant to the scope of your narrative?
  • How might your answers to the above questions impact and/or relate to your reading, writing, and thinking skills?

Please categorize your blog post as “First-Draft Thinking” when you publish it.
