Some of the digital tools that I want to use within my Digital Literacy Narrative are definitely applications to communicate with people, like Snapchat or Instagram; possibly also adding the use of gaming consoles and how games influenced how my writing, speaking, and overall digital literacy has changed over time. Additionally, the changes that we see daily, whether on our phones, computers, pretty much everything that provides us with information and entertainment.

For the different digital literacy skills I would talk about would be media literacy (all the social media platforms), video game literacy, and interface literacy.

Majority of these platforms require some sort of communication, whether it’s between the human to a piece of technology or human to human and having phones right to our disposal, it makes communication much easier.

When I was around the age of 13, I saved up money to buy myself a PS4, after having an XBOX 360 for the longest time. For that time, I was taking a huge leap into the unknown, having to learn a completely new interface just to play some of the same games I played before on the XBOX. The main reason why I made the switch was because majority of my friends had PS4s and I wanted to play with them, which brought me to my first party call on PS4 and usually these parties become very toxic and this contradicted me on who I was because I would never act in those manners that were going on. Even social media is connected to this because before hopping on to play COD, it would always be like, “yo kacper, hop on.”
