Even after completing the assigned exercises and training modules, Wikipedia is still a bit confusing. This makes me slightly nervous that my technical skills may get in the way of executing the skills necessary to carry out the project in its entirety. I would like to note that a lot of it is watching and learning as we go along, and going back, to check for the structures already in place. To help lessen these concerns, I have visited and will continue to visit other pages that are more developed, to familiarize myself with the languages and structures used on Wikipedia. The values of the skills gained in this project will help me grow as a writer and learner. The guidelines ensure that my writing is clear, concise, and accurate. As a writer, these skills help me stay intact for all future pieces. As a learner, I am also able to recognize and note the differences going forward.

Struggles and confusion aside, the parts of the projects I am most excited about going forward are, really, the final product. We are starting the page with just two topics listed and close to no introduction or lead. Our group plans to reorganize the information and add to it, to help aid people’s understanding of the history of the internet and its Commercialization. For a lot of our class time, we have discussed similar topics (and the topic itself), so it will definitely be interesting to see it become a “product”.

My group had collaborated over discord during break to write out our proposal and discuss potential future steps. We have also just set up a date to address concerns and ask questions. As far as personal contributions, I’ve added a potential subtopic I see fit and a reference with regards to the subtopic. I have also gathered a list of credible sources that I will, later on, explore in detail; the specifics on what is going to be used would be dependent on the formatting we plan to use on the WiKi page.
