Our group members conferenced on Discord over the break to discuss the direction of our project and we split up the work to write up our project proposal evenly before looking over it together after we each finish our individual parts. We also used Discord for communication, making use of the individual group channel chats. Individually, I have added a few references to the article and looked for other documentary or film articles of higher class to use as a model. The first one I located prior to the group work was The Social Network, and I compared it to The Social Dilemma article. I found that The Social Dilemma lacked a Production and Release section, a lesser developed Synopsis section, and an inadequate number of references in certain sections. Any ideas that came to mind I also added to the group document or group chat on Discord.
Currently, we are in the process of dividing the sections that need work, and we will be responsible for the references and the editing of the assigned sessions. Going forward, I think the most exciting part of the project is to compare the final product with the initial article. It will really show how much work we have put into this project and the idea that our article will be seen by anyone who clicks on it on the Internet is pretty wowing. As for any concerns I have, I feel like the Wikipedia platform is so large it’s hard to navigate sometimes. I would probably have to constantly review the WikiEdu training modules. Keeping to the neutral, encyclopedic style of Wikipedia is also pretty challenging, especially when you’re looking over your own work because there will still be bias to a certain extent but since this is a group project, we will be looking out for each other throughout the process.

Sharon,
It sounds like your group is making good headway as you are already in the stage of diving up the work. I think you are right in stating that the final product of this project will be rewarding as we know how undeveloped it initially was! With that being said, navigating Wikipedia is also proving to be difficult at times for my group as well but I think when we all start officially editing, we will start to get the hang of it.
