As of right now, I feel that our group is working well collaboratively, with no one member falling behind. Group projects can be a challenge, as there is a need for consistent communication between every member. Our group utilizes the discord group chat to ask questions and schedule ongoing meetings. When it came to constructing the proposal for this project, we decided it was most efficient to split up the questions between each other to contribute an equal amount of work. Additionally, although we first started with the video chat, we felt it was more comfortable to discuss what we were planning on writing and work on the proposal independently through a span of different times we were free.

I am in charge of researching the themes section of this Wikipedia article. Considering that The Social Dilemma covers numerous different topics concerning the impacts of psychological manipulation these social media sites use, I look forward to expanding my research on relating these themes to the documentary. I currently have a few reliable articles I can use to write my part of the piece.

I am looking forward to the actual writing step, as it will feel more real that I’m editing a Wikipedia article, although it may not be officially published on the original Wikipedia page. However, after reading through the Wikipedia modules, I noticed how cautious we need to be to prevent accidental plagiarism. Additionally, I may struggle to structure my words to avoid bias and any promotional tone, especially considering that our page is a documentary. I believe my groupmates will help edit each other’s work, ultimately creating a satisfying outcome.
