As of right now, our group is headed on the right track. We have already discussed the topic we want to further improve which in this case is religious music. Currently, no one is falling behind and everyone is on their respective journeys. We utilize both discord and iMessage as a means to communicate regarding information or if anyone needs help. As a group, we mainly use discord to communicate verbally as we all need to communicate verbally in order to collaborate while editing this page. When we decided to construct this project, we decided we would each answer one question in regards to our proposal and that we would split up our work evenly. By splitting it evenly we all have some form of equal contribution to this project. We decided that each one of us would take the task of two subsections and within those subsections, we will try and add as much info as we can. We will also help each other along the journey. Furthermore, we all have decided to work on the lead together, since we think it is important for all of us to equally contribute to that particular task.

For my current tasks, I have assigned myself to the Islamic and Hindu music sub-section. As a start, I first googled both these terms and have found numerous research in regards to both religious music types. This part factors into our group project because it demonstrates how we have equally split up the work among us but it also adds information to the page we all are editing. Additionally, I have assigned myself to further improve the lead as well. This will be a group effort as we all will try and add some form of information to the lead.

The part that I am most excited about is learning how to add information to Wikipedia and finally understanding that it is a good source to utilize for information. There has always been a negative stereotype imposed on Wikipedia and I have finally learned and realized that that is simply just not true. Some things I am concerned about are, what if I add the wrong information by accident. Or what if the information I use is false and misleading. The way I can target this issue is that I can ask my group mates if they can fact-check the information I just found, in relation to my subsection, just to make sure I am posting about the right stuff.

I guess this project will teach me the values of Wikipedia and that it’s not just an unworthy source. Also, I get to say that I edited a Wikipedia page academically, which, in my opinion, is pretty darn cool.
