Hello, to my fellow readers, drifter and gazers. I know what you’re thinking, no its not going to one of those boring and annoying readings where its just here because someone told me to do it. Well, half of it would only be true, because yes I was initially told to this as a project, but I am excited to see the outcome. Throughout my current semester at Baruch (Fall 2014), in my English 2850, we have read numerous poems, short stories, plays, and various other works of literature. Upon reading these works, I have derived that women were limited and were told to refrain due to society’s norm. Women are individuals who have ideas and are their own person. They are individuals that make decisions based upon their interests. As you continue to read in these posts, this blog there will be discussion of how literature from various time periods imply or directed the roles of women throughout society and how throughout time those ideologies have changed. From this blog I hope to portray some of important changes and its importance to both the literary work and its affect or change upon society.
