Welcome to the World of Media Banksy

It seems like social media has taken over the lives of humanity. What would we as the human race be without the ability to socialize without technology? This machine of social interaction consumes the lives of many individuals.  A majority of the human race that has access to the Internet and/ or a smart phone has Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc.   Social networking has become one of the primary ways of communication and travel of news in our society.

The prominent Banksy has recently joined Instagram, creating an uproar in the social community.  Although there are many social accounts such as Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and Tumblr that have tracked the works of Banksy, the masked artist has never had any official social accounts until now.   An elder man in Central Park sold his alleged work, not attracting many costumers.  It was difficult for the man to sell the artwork, eventually dropping the prices down 50 percent.  However the social paradox of Banksy is still a complete mystery, whether it be in the real world or cyberspace.

One thing every college student looks for when applying to schools is diversity, well, you’ve come to the right place. Baruch College has been declared the most diversified CUNY school, consisting of almost every race you could think of. But this kind of diversity does more than just make the school look good on a list, it turns it into a COMMUNITY. A set of people coming together as one. Every social event: party, club, strike, rally, meeting becomes so much more enhanced with this kind of diversity. It makes Baruch feel a little like home for everyone.

The Afro: A “Rags to Riches” Story

The likes of Oprah Winfrey, Prince, and many designers are starting to sport the gravity defying hairstyle. It came a long way; from being seen as a disgrace to families and communities, to being socially accepted and a way many, many people choose to express themselves.
