Nationally competitive fellowships and scholarships provide funding to enhance your academic and professional experiences and help you to realize your goals.  Winning a fellowship is a prestigious honor, but whether or not you receive an award, you will emerge from the application process with a stronger sense of who you are, and a clearer vision of what you want to do.

But first, what is a fellowship?

Fellowships are merit-based awards offering funding for a variety of opportunities that can expand your potential by providing experiences to develop skills, deepen your knowledge and broaden your perspectives.  There are fellowships for many types of activities including: research, study abroad, learning a language, professional development, community or civic service, teaching, post-graduate study, etc.

Finding your Fellowship Fit

Finding a fellowship opportunity starts with asking yourself what kind of experience you wish to pursue. What are your goals or the skills you wish to develop?  Are you looking to fund something specific? Like a way to fund study abroad, learn a language, gain research experience, or to fund graduate school?  Or are you looking to develop your potential and so open to a variety of different kinds of experiences? Like professional development opportunities, cultural engagement or community service programs?

To find a good fellowship for your goals, start by asking yourself these questions to find fellowships that are a good investment in your time and efforts to apply. Find Fellowships that fit your goals here.
