A Year in Review: 4 Things That Happened in 2017

Happy New Year!

As we welcome the New Year, we want to thank you for being a part of Baruch’s entrepreneurship ecosystem and for making 2017 such a success. We’ve hosted open houses, fireside chats, conferences, and MakerHub events to inspire students to think about entrepreneurship and take the first step towards their dream.

Here are some of the year’s highlights:

  • The College Entrepreneurial Organization launched for the first time to allow aspiring student entrepreneurs to network and support one another. CEO is here to promote, cultivate, and nurture the entrepreneurial spirit unique to Baruch students. Click here to join!

  • Global Family Business Event: Raising the Next Generation of Entrepreneurs featured father and daughter Johannes and Christina Suriadjaja, two hugely successful entrepreneurs from Indonesia who are magnates in the hotel and property development industry. Watch the recap here.

  • Open House: Student Entrepreneur Resource Fair for students to learn about the free resources we offer for aspiring entrepreneurs such as MakerHub, a makerspace for design and prototyping, the CUNY Startups Accelerator, and free business advising.

  • Fireside Chat with Yin Lin, co-founder of SheWorx, where she shared how she built a community of 20,000+ female entrepreneurs and how her athletic background as a USA Hall of Fame Gymnast paved the way to becoming an entrepreneur. Watch the recap here.
