Field Fellowship: Business Consulting Intern

Position Type: Part-time

Salary Level: Graduate Student $18/hr

As part of the Field Fellowship Program at the Lawrence N. Field Center for Entrepreneurship, the Business Consulting Intern works alongside business development counselors and faculty in serving approximately 1200 Small Business Development Center (SBDC) clients annually ranging from high growth tech businesses to trendy new restaurants.

Duties: Reporting to the Assistant Director of the Lawrence N. Field Center for Entrepreneurship and the Director of Baruch SBDC, the Business Consulting Intern will assume duties as follows:



Provide technical support services including:

  • Assistance developing business and marketing plans
  • Evaluating and selecting funding alternative with business advisors and clients
  • Accounting systems and technology
  • Studying the implications of business decisions



Education and Experience:

  • A Masters degree is preferred
  • Work experience in a related field or for small businesses
  • Familiarity with entrepreneurship and small business is preferred

  • Strong visual, written and verbal skills required
  • Problem-solving skills
  • High level of attention to detail
