Field Fellowship: Social Media Marketing Intern

The Lawrence N. Field Center for Entrepreneurship is seeking a highly creative, talented and self- motivated part time Marketing/Social Media Intern, responsible for the creation and execution of student marketing outreach. The Marketing Intern will report to and assist the Community Manager.

Pay: $15/hour for undergraduate students.


  • Create marketing materials to promote Field Center/ SBDC events
  • Create and execute social media campaigns to engage and grow the community
  • Write and post relevant content to all social media channels.
  • Coordinate with internal departments and external stakeholders to update social media channels
  • Provide assistance in creating and enhancing campaign contact list
  • Monitor and report on Social Media metrics, making recommendations for improvement of social media posts, newsletters, and campaigns
  • Maintain project tracking spread sheets and social media marketing calendar
  • Assist in strategy sessions to create promotional strategies
  • Search engine optimizing blog posts through word press and others
  • Perform outreach to the CUNY community to promote events and programs
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Skills and Specifications

  • Proficiency in using social media (Facebook/ Twitter/Instagram/LinkedIn/Hootsuite)
  • Ability to design promotional materials using Microsoft Publisher, Illustrator, or other tools
  • Exceptional writing and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work individually on self-driven projects
  • Demonstrated ability to solve problems, analyze systems and data and suggest appropriate solutions
  • Ability to work under tight project deadlines with attention to detail
