Well, this could be playing on the inversion of “religion is opium for the masses.” So, I guess it would translate into “heroin is the religion of the masses/[of the youth today]” As Chynell pointed out, it is very demonic. The polar opposite of the what a religious text would have as its cover (not that religious texts have photographs on their covers). There’s a convenient reference to the Bible as well. But apart from that, there’s the ironic title of Johnny as mother superior like he’s the leader of their little church with all his stoned followers.
Pacify the restless, angry youth with drugs so that they don’t rise against their unfair conditions.

I love the firm opinion here! Can we think about *why* these images and words are here?

  3. I absolutely hate this cover, it is to demonic. and the quote is very disturbing. HATE IT
