Hi everyone! This workshop is basically about introducing new clubs to students and providing information to them (hint: “Club Fair”). Most of the clubs had food which is thought was pretty awesome. It was a great incentive to attract students, although most people just took the food and ran. So I guess they kind of failed at that. What really stood out to me was the great number of different culture clubs. If you took a rep from each club it would pretty much be the UN. I signed up for the Finance and Economics club just because that is my intended major. Also the Billiards and Bowling group because I love to play both. Hopefully I join them and enjoy. I would recommend the workshop so that you can see what clubs you might be interested in. However, I don’t know if this workshop will be up again because it was a fair.
I went to the club fair as well. I thought this would be a useful workshop to attend and that’s why i decided to go in the first place. It was helpful because it helped me decide what clubs i wanted to join and it was also a nice chance to meet older people and see a lot of other people within the school that i don’t see on a regular basis. i learned that there is basically a club for everything and this was good to know.
The club fair was an interesting experience. Getting into the gym was a hassle, as we were forced to swipe our cards, and they only had 2 lines to swipe for hundreds of people. Once I got inside the gym, I looked around and talked to a few representatives of the club. The Apple Student Club was interesting, as it pertained to Apple computers, something I’m passionate about. Other than that, nothing in particular really caught my eye. Maybe I will join something else at a later date.
I attended the club fairs workshop on Thursday. It was very hectic at first and I thought it was going to be like the first workshop I tried to attend (Freshman Orientation). However, once inside it was very insightful and I saw dozens of possible clubs I could join. Some seemed very interesting to me, such as the psychology club, and I would be interested to see how clubs like these work (their projects, meetings, etc.) I did not join any clubs however 🙁 I would like to get used to this school’s environment before diving into any extracurricular activites first.
I went to the club fair on thursday and they had many different kinds of workshops their like the psychology club , environmental awareness club , and the fusion club , i didn’t join any because i dont want to take on too much stuff in the first year at college , i still want to get used to how everything works and how to manage my time.
